So-yeon, formerly of the group T-ARA, shared her feelings regarding her husband, soccer player Jo Yu-min, being unable to participate in the World Cup due to an injury.

On the 1st, So-yeon posted a Bible verse from Philippians 4:13 on her personal account: "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength."

This is interpreted as So-yeon expressing her feelings in response to her husband Jo Yu-min's World Cup participation being dashed due to injury.

Earlier that day, it was reported that Jo Yu-min was diagnosed with a rupture in the plantar fascia of his right heel, requiring a recovery period of eight weeks, and was consequently released from the 2026 North, Central America and Caribbean World Cup squad.

Jo Yu-min was injured during a friendly match against Trinidad and Tobago and was carried off the field by staff. Due to this injury, he is now unable to participate in the North, Central America and Caribbean World Cup matches. Jo Wi-je was selected as Jo Yu-min's replacement.

Meanwhile, So-yeon married Jo Yu-min, who is eight years her junior, in August 2022. Following Jo Yu-min's transfer to the United Arab Emirates League in 2024, the couple moved their residence to Dubai and are living there.
