Following the announcement that the openly dating couple, actors Lee Jong-seok and actress-singer IU, have broken up, recent updates on Lee Jong-seok's travels are being revisited.

From mid-last month to recently, Lee Jong-seok has been posting photos of his overseas trip on social media over a period of about one month.

In the photos, Lee Jong-seok is seen visiting seaside locations abroad with friends and enjoying relaxation at resort pools and during sunsets.

Notably, he drew attention by using Justin Hurwitz's "Planetarium" from the 'La La Land' OST as the music for his post. This song played during the scene where the male and female leads of 'La La Land' dance a waltz against the backdrop of the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, USA, capturing the couple's happy moments in a condensed manner.

As this song is being revisited alongside news of Lee Jong-seok and IU's breakup, speculation has arisen that Lee may have recently traveled while carrying the pain of their separation.

On this day, Ace Factory, Lee Jong-seok's agency, told StarNews, "It is true that Lee Jong-seok and IU have broken up," adding, "As this concerns the actor's personal privacy, we find it difficult to provide further answers. We ask for your understanding."

In addition, Eden Entertainment, IU's agency, stated, "It is true that IU has broken up with Lee Jong-seok," and added, "The two have decided to remain good colleagues." The two were reported to have broken up due to their busy schedules recently.

Previously, Lee Jong-seok and IU first met in 2012 as MCs on SBS's 'Inkigayo' and continued their relationship, starting an open romance in 2022. They are now announcing their breakup after four years of being publicly together.
