At that time, Hwang Shin-young explained her symptoms and situation: "Nine years ago, my intestines twisted, and I had surgery for intussusception. This time, right after returning from a summer vacation trip with the children, my intestines twisted again, making it hard to breathe, so I came straight to the emergency room."

Meanwhile, Hwang Shin-young married a non-celebrity man nine years her senior in May 2017 and gave birth to triplets in 2021.
