Pop columnist and broadcaster Kim Tae-hoon shared his candid thoughts on BTS's boycott of the Grammys.

On the 23rd, Kim released a video titled "Why the Grammys Are No Longer Important to BTS" through his YouTube channel 'Kim Tae-hoon's Listening Room'.

In the video, Kim said about BTS's Grammy boycott, "If I were to speak bluntly, I'd say they delivered a powerful blow. I felt refreshed and thought, 'These guys did something I hadn't even considered.'"

He continued, "Don't we often awaken through certain events? After seeing the news of BTS's boycott, I late realized, 'Ah, that makes sense.' The Grammys include European artists as nominees, so why isn't there a category for Europe? Just by awakening us to this issue, BTS has accomplished something remarkable."

Kim explained, "If this were limited to just one group—BTS—refusing to submit entries to the Grammys, the arrogant Grammys would not have reconsidered. However, this declaration carries influence. Latin artists might also think, 'Ah, I see? Why is Latin treated as a sub-genre?' Especially when Black musicians protest, the impact on the Grammys will be significant. This could lead to widespread dissatisfaction among Black musicians in American society regarding the Grammys, potentially triggered by BTS's actions. It could evolve into a massive movement or trend, and the Grammys likely feel an immense sense of crisis."
