Singer Rocko (37, real name Kwon Hyuk-woo) has legally punished a cyberbully who spread rumors of his "sham marriage."

According to Dispatch on the 28th, on the 19th, the Western District Court of Daegu District Court (Judge Seo Young-ae) issued a summary order imposing a fine of 5 million won on cyberbully A, who repeatedly posted false articles targeting Rocko and his wife.

A is accused of posting false information about Rocko multiple times over one month last October on the message board of an application. It was reported that he continuously posted content claiming that Rocko had entered into a sham marriage.

Accordingly, the court applied the charge of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (defamation) against A and sentenced him to a fine.

Rocko married his non-celebrity wife in 2022. In September that year, Rocko directly announced their marriage, saying, "Shortly after my discharge from the military, I met a friend of the same age who grew up in the same neighborhood since childhood for the first time in a long while. For some reason, the time we spent together was always exciting, and we quickly developed into a romantic relationship. Over the past two years, we have consistently respected each other's work and shared precious and happy moments, and it happened so naturally that we promised to spend our lives together." In particular, Rocko added to the buzz by confessing, "As fans know, she is also the 'soy latte' girl I often mentioned in my lyrics." This "soy latte" is a nickname for Rocko's wife, appearing in his songs "Now at Last" (2020) and "Love" (2021).
