Actor late Lee Yong-ju passed away from a heart attack just six months after sharing his welcome health update.

On the 29th, Lee Yong-ju died at the age of 44. His cause of death was reported to be a heart attack.

The wake for the deceased was held in Room 5 of the funeral hall at Seongnam Jeongseng Hospital in Gyeonggi Province. The procession is scheduled for 6:30 a.m. on the 31st, and the burial site is the Seongnam Funeral Culture Office.

A friend of Lee Yong-ju announced his passing through comments on the deceased's SNS account, stating, "Our friend Lee Yong-ju has passed away suddenly; we respectfully inform you." The friend added, "We cannot believe this sudden news. Please pray for his peaceful rest with a warm heart as he departs on his final journey."

With Lee Yong-ju's cause of death confirmed as a heart attack, stories and updates he shared about his health approximately six months ago are being revisited.

In February, Lee Yong-ju appeared on actor Lee Jong-hyuk's YouTube channel and revealed that he had received a military exemption due to "a serious issue with his heart."

When asked, "How did you portray the character of 'Blue Tower' without prior military experience?" Lee responded, "Since I lacked experience, it may have worked out well. People often told me I seemed clueless."

At that time, Lee Yong-ju also shared his recent activities: after failing in business in Busan, he returned to Seoul and started a new venture. He announced with a bright smile, "I am operating a solo travel agency near Moran Market in Seongnam."

Lee Yong-ju made his debut in 2004 with the film 'Doma Ahn Jung-geun' and appeared in MBC's 'Hello, Francesca' and 'Palace.' He gained particular popularity through tvN's 'The Unlucky Young Lady' series and 'Fun TV Roller Coaster Blue Tower.'
