Singer MC Mong (real name Shin Dong-hyun) has announced a tuition event.

On the 4th, during a TikTok live broadcast, MC Mong revealed that he was booked for a university festival, stating, "I'm going to a university event. It's the Kyunggi University festival, and I've become the Kyunggi University ending fairy."

According to MC Mong, he will appear on stage at the Kyunggi University festival on the 11th. He said, "Since it's the finale, I plan to perform about 10 songs. I might do more."

He then added, "I'm going to pick one student and pay their tuition. I intend to cover one semester's tuition," drawing attention with the event announcement.

He further remarked, "I plan to bring cash for the tuition. I believe good deeds will always come back around."

Meanwhile, in a TikTok live broadcast last May, MC Mong sparked controversy by mentioning an illegal gambling circle involving celebrities and specifically naming Kim Min-jong as one of its members.

In response, Kim Min-jong's side denied the allegations and filed a lawsuit against MC Mong for defamation (violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.), stating, "As these claims have spread, the reputation and trust I have built over 38 years since my debut in 1988 has been seriously damaged. Concrete harm occurred, including the suspension of discussions for a forthcoming Hollywood production and two advertising contracts that were under negotiation at the time."
