Singer and actress IU reflected on her 16-year friendship with actress Yoo In-na.

On the 15th, IU posted a video containing the lyrics of 'Dear my crazy soulmate' along with the messages "Dear my crazy soulmate" and "Sure YOO IN NA we best soulmate" on her official Instagram.

The released video captured moments when IU and Yoo In-na have spent together over a long period. Photos showing the two standing side by side, from their youthful past to recent times, offered a glimpse into their special friendship that has continued for 16 years.

'Dear my crazy soulmate' is one of the double title tracks from IU's new digital single 'From This Star', released on the 10th, with lyrics written by IU herself.

Notably, IU wrote "To Yoo In-na" in the song introduction section of her official YouTube channel, directly revealing that Yoo In-na is the subject of the song.

The lyrics also fully express affection for a long-time friend. Through lines such as "You can be weird forever in front of me," "Until the world eventually gives up on us, just the two of us like this," and "My dream is to become two strange gramma together," IU expressed her desire to accept each other as they are and stay together for a long time.

This single is IU's first new song in about a year since 'Bye, Summer' was released last September, and it serves as a pre-release track for the upcoming sixth full album.

Meanwhile, IU and Yoo In-na are well known as Yeon Ye-gye (CEO) close friends. The two met when they appeared together on SBS's variety program 'Hero Returns' in 2010, and have continued their unchanged friendship for 16 years since then.
