'World-renowned pop star Lady Gaga (40) has welcomed a daughter through surrogacy.

On the 17th (local time), TMZ reported that Lady Gaga and her fiancé Michael Polansky have welcomed their first child, a daughter, via surrogacy.

According to the report, the couple's daughter is named Rose Bean Polansky, born on June 9 in Los Angeles, United States.

TMZ stated that the reason Lady Gaga chose surrogacy remains unknown but noted that she has previously disclosed her battle with fibromyalgia, a condition causing severe pain and fatigue.

Fibromyalgia is a chronic disease that can accompany whole-body pain, fatigue, sleep disorders, and other symptoms. Lady Gaga revealed in 2017 that she was suffering from fibromyalgia and had previously postponed or canceled some tour dates due to intense pain.

Previously, Lady Gaga was spotted with a baby in Northern California, raising speculation about surrogacy birth after images of her holding the infant were released without prior pregnancy announcements.

Local outlet Page Six quoted acquaintances saying, "Lady Gaga went through an extremely difficult physical period. There were moments of joy, but also moments of despair. It was truly a sad time. She endured physically and emotionally challenging times to become a parent."

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have not yet issued an official statement regarding the surrogacy birth.
