Singer and actress IU marked her 18th debut anniversary by donating 200 million won, putting warm sharing into practice.

IU's agency EDAM Entertainment announced on the 18th that "IU donated a total of 200 million won, with 50 million won each to the Korean Social Welfare Association, Seoul Rehabilitation Hospital, Heart-Heart Foundation, and Korea Habitat."

The donation funds are expected to be used for supporting stable independence of youth preparing for self-reliance, rehabilitation treatment support for children and adolescents facing economic hardships, livelihood, education, and mental health support for female youth preparing for self-reliance, and improvement of living environments for national merit recipients.

IU has consistently practiced sharing on special occasions such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and year-end holidays under the name "IU Aena," combining her own name with that of her fan club, "Yoo Aena."

This year alone, following a 100 million won donation for children and adolescents on Children's Day, she donated 300 million won on May 16, her birthday, conveying kindness to neighbors in need.

Meanwhile, IU released a new digital single "From This Star" on the 10th. The double title tracks "From This Star" and "Dear My Crazy Soulmate" have risen to the top of major music charts since their release and are receiving great love.
