A heartwarming story from broadcaster Hong Seok-cheon four years ago is being highlighted once again.

Recently, a video showing Hong Seok-cheon cleaning up trash spilled on the road together with a sanitation worker has spread across various SNS platforms and online communities.

The released footage is a dashcam video captured near Seoul Gungdeok Station in December 2022. At the time, a bag containing trash fell from a truck ahead, and a sanitation worker was picking it up on the road while vehicles were passing by.

Upon noticing this, Hong Seok-cheon stopped his vehicle and immediately got out. Without any special equipment or gloves, Hong Seok-cheon helped the sanitation worker by picking up the scattered trash from the road one by one with bare hands.

The netizen who initially shared the video at the time explained, "A few days earlier, in the early morning, there was a bag that had fallen from a truck. Hong Seok-cheon hyung found it and ran over to help with it."

They added, "There is a real difference between doing something out of obligation and acting from the heart when you see their actions," and stated, "Hong Seok-cheon hyung seems to have truly remarkable character. This person appears to be genuine."

Subsequently, Hong Seok-cheon displayed humility on MBN's variety show 'Monegi Club' in 2023 when the video of his good deed was mentioned, saying, "It is something I always do; it just happened to be recorded by chance."

Netizens who saw this responded with reactions such as, "It is even more impressive because it is not for show," "It looks good because he seems to be doing it sincerely," "He is a warm person," and "He seems like someone who consistently does wonderful things."
