Actress Kim So-hyun expressed her longing ahead of the first broadcast of 'Yeon Ae (Dr.)', the final work of the late Director Ahn Pan-seok.

On the 5th, Kim shared on her social media, "The tension I felt when I first received the script, the worries during filming, and the moments we laughed and cried together all vividly flash before my eyes."

She continued, "I will never forget everything I learned from the respected late Director Ahn Pan-seok," adding, "As always, I am filled with regret that I should have done a little better, but I feel even more regretful and miss him because I believe the director would have said he liked it just as it was."

She added, "I will watch the first broadcast of 'Yeon Ae (Dr.)', in which all directors, staff, and actors did their best, with a grateful heart."

In photos Kim released alongside her post, scenes from the script reading for ENA's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Yeon Ae (Dr.)' were captured. The bright smiles of lead actors Kim So-hyun and Choo Young-woo, along with late Director Ahn Pan-seok, shine through.

The drama 'Yeon Ae (Dr.)', which airs its first episode today, depicts the romance between Park Min-jae (played by Choo Young-woo), a doctoral student who was a swimmer in high school but lost one leg due to illness, and Im Yoo-jin (played by Kim So-hyun), a master's student who wandered after losing her direction in life before embarking on a new path.

Late Director Ahn Pan-seok, who directed the series, passed away at the age of 64 last August after battling a cerebral hemorrhage. The late director was hailed as a drama master for directing works such as 'White Tower', 'The Qualification of a Wife', 'Affair', 'What's with You', 'Something in the Rain', 'Spring Night', 'Graduation', and 'The Art of Negotiation'.
