Broadcaster Jang Sung-gyu, formerly an announcer, delivered a pointed response to a malicious commenter who crossed the line.

On the 7th, Jang Sung-gyu posted on his personal social media service (SNS), "It is a profession that divides opinion, so even if I am hurt, I try to respect those who curse me, but I was curious about the psychology behind this particular case," while revealing the content of a direct message (DM) he had received from a malicious commenter.

In the DM revealed by Jang Sung-gyu, the malicious commenter directed insults at him, spewing remarks such as "Your over-the-top acting is annoying," "You are attention-seeking," and "Why do you act so special when you could just be like other announcers?"

In response, Jang Sung-gyu replied to the malicious commenter with, "What a sudden blow. Have you been drinking?"

Jang Sung-gyu stated that he was curious about the psychology of the malicious commenter, who even watched the broadcast programs he appears in while cursing him, and asked a generative artificial intelligence (AI) for an explanation.

He shared, "I asked Gemini, and it summarized the reasons into four points. Looking at them, I can see how that might be the case. I will try my best to understand and respect them. Please continue to monitor me going forward."
