Former member of the group Rula, Ko Young-wook, pointed out broadcaster Gi-an 84's lack of hygiene awareness.

On the 14th, Ko posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, "Jesus Christ. If I had encountered this guy in prison, I would have given him a thorough beating."

Along with the post, he shared a photo showing Gi-an 84 stating that he did not change his underwear.

Ko criticized Gi-an 84, saying, "As someone who changes his underwear at least twice a day as a matter of course, I cannot understand how one can live so unhygienically on their own, let alone while living in a group setting and filming."

He added, "This is not something that happened just yesterday or today, but the entertainment industry has also reached its end times."

Ko's remarks appear to be due to Gi-an 84's appearance in the recently released Netflix variety show "Daehwanjang Giansang 2" (Great Chaos Gi-an's Place 2).

The broadcast revealed a conversation between Gi-an 84, Kim Yeon-kyung, and Dex regarding hygiene issues. Kim mentioned an incident where Gi-an 84 passed gas in front of a group of people, and Dex asked if he had checked his underwear at the time. In response, Kim said, "He had already gone three days without changing his underwear. I confirmed it."

When Kim then asked, "Are you not allowed to skip showers in the military? Do you have to maintain cleanliness?" Dex replied, "If you don't shower, you violate military law."

Gi-an 84 then sparked controversy by revealing, "In the military, they kept telling me to shower, so it is not entirely untrue that I lost the desire to wash in society. I wash when I feel like washing."

Meanwhile, Ko Young-wook, who debuted with Rula in 1994, was indicted on charges of four counts of rape and sexual assault against three minors between July 2010 and December 2012. He was detained and prosecuted in January 2013, and his sentence of two years and six months in prison was finalized by the Supreme Court in December of that year. He was released upon completion of his sentence in July 2015, and removed the electronic ankle monitor attached to him in July 2018.
