Actress Song Hye-kyo (45) has fully opened the second act of her career by finding a new home after 14 years.

Song debuted in the entertainment industry in 1996 by winning the grand prize at a school uniform model contest. Now celebrating her 30th anniversary since debut, she has firmly maintained her position as a "top star" over a period long enough for mountains and rivers to change three times, truly writing the history of a living "legend."

Her filmography is also unparalleled. After gaining recognition through the sitcom "Hospital Ship," Song showcased diverse facets in works such as the emotional melodrama "Autumn Fairy Tale," "All In," "Full House," "That Winter, The Wind Blows," and "Descendants of the Sun." In particular, she surprised the public by attempting unprecedented acting transformations with the 2022 OTT Netflix series "The Glory" and last year's film "The Nuns."

Amidst this, Song drew attention by standing at a new starting line in partnership with a newly established agency. She signed an exclusive contract with Management Stand (STAND), leaving UAA, where she had been affiliated for approximately 14 years. Following her role as the first actor under UAA, Song once again chose a challenging path by beginning her journey with Stand.

On the 24th, the Stand side stated, "We consider it meaningful to work with Song Hye-kyo," adding, "We will spare no effort in providing meticulous support so that she can focus on works and acting." They further conveyed, "We will stand firmly by her side in all domestic and international activities, including work engagements," and stated, "We plan to support Song Hye-kyo's acting career and expand our business scope across the entire content spectrum through various collaborations."

Song Hye-kyo, who is walking a unique path in this way, is expected to make 2026, her 30th anniversary year, her own as well. Finally, in the second half of this year, she will meet viewers around the world with her next work, the new Netflix original series "Slowly, Intensely." Its release has been confirmed for December 11.

Moreover, "Slowly, Intensely" is highly anticipated as a reunion project with screenwriter Noh Hee-kyung, who wrote "It's Okay, That's Love," which is considered one of Song Hye-kyo's life-defining characters. Set against the backdrop of the Korean entertainment industry in the 1960s to 1980s, a time when barbarism and violence prevailed, it depicts the growth story of those who threw themselves into pursuing shining success despite having nothing.

In the drama, Song Hye-kyo is set to deliver another reversal performance in the role of Min-ja. Min-ja is a character who enters the record business after overcoming a poor childhood. In addition, Song will team up with Gong Yoo, Kim Seol-hyun (former AOA member), and Cha Seung-won, raising expectations for fresh synergy effects.
