MBC's flagship music variety show, 'King of Mask Singer,' has announced its revival.

On the 3rd, MBC officially stated, "'King of Mask Singer' will return as 'King of Mask Singer: Golden Mask,'" adding that it is "scheduled to air for the first time in December."

'King of Mask Singer' ran from April 2015 through January this year, a span of no less than 10 years during which it produced legendary kings of song and generated numerous topics of conversation while dominating Sunday evenings.

'King of Mask Singer,' the pioneer of global music variety shows that opened a new horizon for Korean music entertainment and expanded to 53 countries worldwide, had promised in January to return on a season basis after concluding its 10-year journey.

With expectations swelling over whether 'King of Mask Singer,' having completed its restructuring and become even more powerful, can once again write a new history in music variety shows, the highly anticipated first recording began at the Icheon MBC Dream Center in October, raising the curtain on the new season with grandeur.

The production team conveyed, "'King of Mask Singer: Golden Mask' will undergo a complete transformation into a super-large-scale music festival, delivering even greater joy and emotion." They added that "not only will the masks be more dazzling and refined, but stages that keep viewers from looking away for even a moment are set to unfold one after another."

In addition, the newly joined deduction team for this season is expected to engage in more intense reasoning than ever over the identities behind the masks, further heightening anticipation.

Furthermore, the masked singers are expected to engage in fierce competition for the 'Golden Mask,' the symbol of the king of song. It is reported that the skilled masked singers, who hide their identities behind masks, have prepared their stages more thoroughly than ever to claim the glory of the 'Golden Mask.' Anticipation is already focused on which masked singer will become the protagonist of the 'Golden Mask' and on the birth of a new legend.

The production team left a message of appeal, stating, "We have all prepared with great care in order to repay the love of viewers who have waited for a long time. We ask for your continued interest and support."
