Singer Huh Young-seung, formerly of the group SS501, has been embroiled in a fan deception controversy following an exposé by a long-time fan, while another fan has since come forward to reveal the full details of the incident.

On the 5th, a post titled "261103 Huh Young-seung Birthday Cafe Event - The Reason for the Surprise Cafe (feat. Full Story)" along with a video was uploaded to the SNS account of one of Huh Young-seung's fans.

The author of the post wrote, "I apologize for bringing this up late. I have shared it with minimal editing to prevent any further controversy," adding, "Despite being exhausted from a packed schedule that day and having just returned from Japan the previous night after completing choreography practice, he prepared an event for the fans. Can we still say he deceived his fans?"

The video captured Huh Young-seung preparing a cafe event with fans to celebrate his birthday.

Huh Young-seung said, "Personally, I feel like I have done less of this in Korea than anywhere else. I just got back from Japan and it was immediately my birthday, so there wasn't much going on, but we were able to create this time to chat together, and it was a wonderful experience," expressing his gratitude to the fans.

In an additionally released video, Huh Young-seung stated, "I originally intended to do this very spontaneously today. I had planned to talk about it today. But while I am very grateful for the birthday cafe, they kept and kept telling me (to come)."

The video also captured a woman, presumed to be Ms. A, who had exposed the fan deception controversy involving Huh Young-seung, clarifying, "I did not say that."

Subsequently, Huh Young-seung actively responded to fans' requests, such as trying on an apron prepared by them.

The author who uploaded the video stated, "It is simply regrettable, painful, and heartbreaking that yet another enjoyable, fun, and meaningful memory has become the center of controversy, but let us all stay strong. This too shall pass."

Previously, Ms. A, the operator of Huh Young-seung's fan page, recently announced via SNS that she would cease operating the account, revealing what she experienced while preparing the birthday cafe. Ms. A stated that she had spent approximately six months using her own funds to prepare Huh Young-seung's birthday cafe and that, about three months before the event, she inquired with his agency about their intention to visit, but received the response that "it is difficult to visit specific birthday cafes, so we are not currently making separate visits to birthday cafes."

However, on the 3rd, on the day of his birthday, Huh Young-seung rented a separate cafe to meet with fans instead of the cafe arranged by Ms. A. Ms. A claimed that after talking with fans for about two hours, Huh Young-seung said, "Thankfully, you opened a birthday cafe. But since you kept telling me to come."

In response, Ms. A stated, "Since it was an individual's heart of support and celebration, the fact that he did not come to the birthday cafe was not a problem at all. However, I could not help but be disappointed by the attitude of responding in a way that gave my feelings disrespect and embarrassment." She added, "Even though my main job was busy, I prepared the event by cutting down on sleep. There was no profit at all. I incurred significant losses," and further stated, "I am now tired of 'that being the best expression,'" declaring her departure from fandom along with the termination of the fan page operation.
