Actress Park Min-young revealed the story behind her actual debut work to mark her 20th anniversary in the industry.

On the 6th, a video titled “Q&A Prepared for My Bean Sprouts” was released on the YouTube channel “Just, Park Min-young.”

On this day, while sharing her thoughts on reaching her 20th anniversary, Park Min-young stated, “This is probably based on ‘High Kick!’, but in fact, I did not debut with ‘High Kick!’ I debuted with a Korean Air commercial.”

She continued, “Unfortunately, the route featured in the commercial was canceled due to some issue, so the ad was never aired,” adding, “I am indeed a Korean Air alumna,” which drew attention.

She then joked, “In fact, it is my 21st year since debut, but I think it would be better to reduce the number a little, so I am calling it my 20th anniversary,” eliciting laughter.

Park Min-young became known to the public for her role as Kang Yu-mi in the MBC sitcom “High Kick!”, which aired in 2006.

Reflecting on the character at the time, she said, “I don’t really know myself either. At first, it was a role of an ordinary and pretty female student, but gradually I was doing spy work, acting as a secret agent, and even driving,” adding, “I had a harsh debut.”

She then looked back on her filmography and mentioned the drama “Scandal at Sungkyunkwan University” as the work that changed her acting career. She explained about the work, saying it was “a character that gave me an answer to how I could perform in-depth acting,” revealing a special affection for it.

Regarding “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” she stated, “There are still friends overseas who call me ‘Secretary Kim,’” adding, “It was a work that received a good response abroad.”

Park Min-young expressed her affection for the character Kang Ji-won in “Marry My Husband,” saying, “It is also a work that opened a new chapter for me.”
