2PM & Big Bang win awards at MTV VMAJ 2013

Two of K-pop’s best-known idol groups, Big Bang and 2PM, won awards at MTV VMAJ 2013 (MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2013). The event was held on June 22 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Big Bang’s music video for “Fantastic Baby,” which was directed by Hyun Seung Seo, won the category of Best Dance Video. They were able to beat out the music videos by group_ inou, Nakazima Megumi, SKRILLEX, and ZEDD, which are very popular in Japan.

2PM’s ‘Legend of 2PM, which contains “Masquerade,” took home the award in the category Best Album of the Year.

2PM were unable to attend the ceremony because of their concerts in Korea, so they gave their remarks through a video message. They said, ��It was such an honor to join other great artists at last year��s awards, and we��re so grateful for this big award again this year.��
