Big Bang member Seungri becomes an MC for a main Japan TV program
Big Bang member Seungri is the first foreign artist to be chosen to MC a major Japanese TV program. On September 24, YG Entertainment stated that Seungri would be MCing the Fuji TV show Motezo 100 starting on September 27. The show is about 100 popular, successful women who reveal their lifestyle and ways of dating to help unpopular men become popular. Popular Japanese comedian Hironari Yamazaki will cohost the program with Seungri.
The production crew of Motezo 100 give Seungri high ratings for attitude and talents, which he showed on Fuji TVs Room Share last year.
Seungri has previously gathered attention for his fluent Japanese in Japan during the last four years on such TV shows as TBS’s Sanma Karakuri and Fuji TV’s Sakigake Ongakubanzke.
Seungri will also perform at Mezamashi Live Tour Island, which will be held at Zepp Fukuoka on the 25th. He will release his Japanese solo debut album, Lets Talk About Love, on October 9.
