IU takes number one on M-Countdown with her new song

IU took the number-one spot, defeating Busker Buskers Love Is on Mnets M-Countdown with her newly released song Pink Shoes. She expressed her feelings about winning by saying, I thank my fans and all my colleagues at my agency. Ill do my best to promote the album.
The song, released on October 7, was inspired by Andersens fairly tale The Red Shoes, which says youll keep dancing if you wear the red shoes. It is of a classic, vintage style based on the big-band swing sound. It is enjoying explosive popularity, sweeping major music charts in Korea.
Other artists who shared the stage with IU on M-Countdown included SHINee, Im Changjung, T-ara, Jung Joonyoung, Seo Inyoung, Jung In, Nine Muses, Jawoorim, Pure, AOA, As One, Block B, Ladies Code, Two Eyes, Ga Hee, Yoomi, BESTie, and TREN-D.
