'COMEBACK' G-DRAGON, RELEASE USB NOT CD.. WILL 'DIFFERENTIATION STRATEGY' WORK?

A leader of BigBand, G-Dragon's solo album will be released as USB not as CD.

YG Entertainment, G-Dragon's agency, announced that GD's comeback is imminent by posting a counter poster on an official blog on June 8th. The revealed poster has an image of USB that has G-Dragon's personal information 'Jiyong Kwon Blood type A 1999 August 18th'.

According to YG, this USB image has the same form of this offline album. Normally offline album is produced as a form of CD, however, G-Dragon institutes a differentiation strategy by releasing as a form of USB.

YG said. "Since this is not a usual form of production, we have a hard time in production and the demand-supply. However, we respect G-Dragon's will and opinion, therefore we try our best to accommodate to a production schedule."

G-Dragon's solo album and music video will be releasing today at 6:00 pm. He will hold a solo world tour at Seoul Sangam Worldcup stadium on June 10th.
