J-Hope of BTS made a triumphant return to the Lollapalooza stage after three years, delivering a powerful performance to close out the festival.

On July 14 (KST), J-Hope performed as a headliner at Lollapalooza Berlin, held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Germany. Taking the final stage of the two-day festival (July 13–14), he delivered an electrifying 90-minute performance, serving as the grand finale of the event.

Before the show, J-Hope shared his thoughts through his label BigHit Music:

“Three years ago, when I stood on the Lollapalooza stage in Chicago, I was driven by a strong desire to prove something. This time, I wanted to show a more relaxed and fun side of myself, fully enjoying the festival. I’ve prepared my best.”

J-Hope made history as the first Korean artist to headline the main stage at Lollapalooza Chicago in July 2022. He captivated more than 105,000 attendees with an 18-song set, earning praise from international media:

  • Consequence of Sound wrote, “A performance that will stand out as a defining page in the history of music.”

  • Chicago Sun-Times commented, “He didn’t just make history — he showed he’s ready for the future.”

Fans even dubbed the event “Hobipalooza,” a blend of “Hobi” (J-Hope’s nickname) and “Lollapalooza.”

This year, J-Hope expanded his musical range through a series of solo singles, including “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel),” “MONA LISA,” and “Killin’ It Girl (feat. Glorilla).” He also completed his first solo world tour, “j-hope Tour ‘HOPE ON THE STAGE’,” which included 33 shows across 16 cities, drawing a total of 524,000 attendees — solidifying his presence as a global solo artist.

Music fans eagerly anticipated J-Hope’s performance at Lollapalooza Berlin, marking another major milestone in his career. His stage was streamed live via Weverse and BTS’s official YouTube channel.

This year’s 10th anniversary of Lollapalooza Berlin featured a star-studded lineup including Justin Timberlake, Benson Boone, and more — with J-Hope as one of the major highlights.
