BTS Jin has successfully concluded his Japan tour to the enthusiastic cheers of fans. Jin wrapped up the tour with performances on August 12th and 13th at the Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan, filling every seat, including restricted-view areas, with a packed audience. This tour, which began on June 28th, marks Jin’s first solo concert and first solo world tour (#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR). He delivered joyful performances in Chiba and Osaka, Japan, as well as in Korea, receiving tremendous support at each stop.
Living up to his reputation as a ‘Visual King’ and ‘Live King,’ Jin captivated fans with his fantastic live performances, running throughout the expansive dome to connect with everyone in the audience. His meticulously prepared piano skills and accompanying acoustic live performance with his beautiful vocals drew admiration from all who witnessed it.
Jin’s popularity and influence were evident as Japanese sports newspapers – Sports Nippon, Daily Sports, Nikkan Sports, Sports Hochi, and Sankei Sports – featured him on their front pages. Long lines formed as fans rushed to purchase these newspapers, and convenience stores quickly sold out. Jin’s merchandise also flew off the shelves, and products he endorses, such as Jin Ramen and Eyeing, were in high demand. Fans showed their support with support cruises and trucks displaying LED videos of Jin, and LANEIGE, the brand for which Jin is a global ambassador, also operated trucks displaying campaign videos.
With the phrase "Japan is JINLAND" gaining traction, Jin’s immense popularity in Japan is undeniable. On August 12th, a live viewing of the Osaka Kyocera Dome concert '#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in JAPAN' was held. This service broadcasts concerts and sporting events live to designated locations. The live viewing was held at 43 CGV cinemas nationwide and simultaneously broadcast in cinemas across 10 countries and regions, including Korea. The second Osaka Kyocera Dome concert on August 13th was streamed live online worldwide via Weverse.
Having successfully completed his first fan concert 'Run Seokjin Tour' (#RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR) in Korea, as well as performances in Chiba and Osaka, Japan, Jin will now head to the US, starting with a show in Anaheim on August 17th, followed by performances in Dallas, Tampa, and Newark. He will also perform in a total of 18 shows across 9 cities, including London, UK, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Notably, Jin will make history as the first K-pop solo artist to hold a solo concert at London’s O2 Arena.
Due to overwhelming demand, many fans were unable to secure tickets for Jin’s tour, leading to fervent requests for encore concerts.
