Comprehensive music content company YG PLUS has partnered with global entertainment streaming service Netflix to globally distribute the original soundtracks (OSTs) of Korean Netflix productions — a key driver of K-content's rise at the center of global cultural trends.

YG PLUS announced the partnership on the 22nd. This collaboration combines YG PLUS’s music distribution and marketing expertise with Netflix’s global platform, which has introduced stories from Korean creators to audiences worldwide. It is expected to significantly enhance the global expansion of K-content and deepen the immersive experience and quality of entertainment for fans around the world.

The partnership includes the distribution of OSTs featured in Netflix’s Korean content, co-created with Korean storytellers, as well as joint promotional campaigns. This goes beyond simple content supply, marking a case in which a domestic Korean company takes the lead in globally distributing OSTs from Korean Netflix productions — amid the growing global influence of Korean creators.

YG PLUS will distribute key OST tracks from Netflix Korea's series and films to over 190 countries, and plans to develop marketing strategies aligned with each production's unique concept. Kim In-ho, Head of the Music Business Division at YG PLUS, stated, “This partnership expands the boundary between Netflix’s Korean content and music, and marks a meaningful starting point for a new global music business model.” He added, “By combining the strengths of both companies, we aim to deliver a more immersive entertainment experience to fans around the world.”

This collaboration is expected to serve as a sustainable synergy model in the global music and content industry moving forward.
