Sibling duo AKMU is set to launch their 2025 AKMU STANDING CONCERT [Akdong] on August 8 at Myeonghwa Live Hall in Seoul, marking the start of a special musical journey to beat the midsummer heat.
This will be a utopia shared exclusively between AKMU and their audience, built on the artists’ determination to deliver a rich, fresh experience purely through music and performance. Packed with experimental elements, the concerts will run for a total of nine shows every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until August 24. True to the romantic and free-spirited theme of [Akdong], AKMU has broken away from the conventional concert format — changing part of the setlist each week, presenting different costume concepts, and greatly blurring the boundaries between artist, session musicians, and audience. The venue is entirely standing to create a unified atmosphere, while the full band and chorus — personally assembled by Lee Chanhyuk — will also step beyond their traditional roles to perform as active stage participants, adding extra layers of fun.
As AKMU has always connected deeply with the public through music, the diverse setlist is expected to captivate audiences. In addition to their signature hits, the show will feature newly released songs by Lee Chanhyuk, reimagined with vibrant live band arrangements. The intimate distance between performers and fans promises to fill the venue with pure and passionate energy like never before.
YG Entertainment commented, “From planning and production to choreography and stage design, every aspect of the show has been led by the artists themselves. We’ve prepared a concert where everyone present is the main character, so we hope you’ll jump, dance, and have fun together.”
The 2025 AKMU STANDING CONCERT [Akdong] runs until August 24. As a long-term series, it includes special perks for repeat attendees — anyone who attends at least one show from the 1st to the 6th performance will receive a 30% discount when booking tickets for the 7th to 9th shows.
