TOMORROW X TOGETHER (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Huening Kai) has added another Gold Disc certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), further solidifying their presence in the Japanese music market.
According to the RIAJ’s announcement on August 8, TXT’s 4th studio album The Name Chapter: TOGETHER surpassed cumulative shipments of 250,000 copies as of July, earning the “Platinum” certification. This marks the group’s 14th album to receive a Gold Disc certification. The RIAJ awards these certifications monthly based on cumulative shipment volumes: Gold (100,000+), Platinum (250,000+), Double Platinum (500,000+), Triple Platinum (750,000+), and Million (1,000,000+).
TXT first earned a “Gold” certification in 2020 with their Japanese debut single MAGIC HOUR and have added to their record every year since. In 2021, Chaotic Wonderland earned their first “Platinum,” while 2022’s GOOD BOY GONE BAD achieved “Double Platinum.” Last year, they reached “Triple Platinum” status for the first time with CHIKAI (誓い).
The Japanese version of the 4th album’s title track Beautiful Strangers is also seeing strong success locally. Released on August 4, it topped Japan’s iTunes “Top Songs” chart and Oricon’s “Daily Digital Single Ranking.” Riding this popularity, the album reclaimed the No. 1 spot on Oricon’s “Daily Album Ranking” (August 6).
Meanwhile, The Name Chapter: TOGETHER continues to perform well globally. On the latest U.S. Billboard chart (dated August 9), it ranked No. 3 on the main album chart, the Billboard 200. TXT has now placed 12 albums on the chart in total. This week, they also topped the “Top Album Sales,” “Top Current Album Sales,” and “World Albums” charts, proving their strong global influence.
