BTS member V has revealed the cherished items in his bag for the first time, while also sharing updates about his life since completing his military service.
On the 11th, W Korea posted a video titled “First Reveal! The ‘Real’ Belongings V Brought to Paris. Why Did BTS V Cry at J-Hope’s Concert?”. V introduced a headset as the first item in his bag, explaining that he listens to music when working out, going out, sleeping, or flying, and even recommended songs for different situations. He said he often listens to songs by Kenshi Yonezu in the morning—songs his close friend, actor Park Hyung-sik, once sang to him live.
Pulling out a workout strap, V said, “I got gear so I can work out safely,” and shared his fitness routine: “I switched from a three-day split to a two-day split.” He added, “In the military, I worked out almost every single day, and if I missed a day, it was still six days a week. After being discharged, I don’t have as much time, so now I try to work out steadily whenever I can.”
When asked how much weight he lifts, V replied, “The PT trainers who help me are huge, so I train intensely. For my body weight, I think I can lift pretty heavy.” He also mentioned taking supplements to help with insomnia, saying, “In the military, when lights went out at 10 PM, I slept really well. But after being discharged, having freedom made me stay up late again. Honestly, if I re-enlisted and had to sleep at 10, I’d probably sleep fine. I think in civilian life, I just end up not sleeping because I don’t want to.”
When asked about his bedtime routine, he said, “I try to close my eyes and think of nothing, but random thoughts pop up. Like, ‘If a rhino had a heart stuck in it, would it die instantly or after about 10 seconds?’” His quirky answer made everyone laugh.
As for why he rarely wears perfume, V explained, “Since middle school, I’ve used body lotion every single day, and I don’t like scents mixing.” Showing a pair of sunglasses, he playfully teased the crew, saying, “Wanna try them? Do you want them? How badly?”
Finally, V pulled out his iPad, showing a donkey illustration as the wallpaper. “I like it because it looks like me,” he laughed. “I set it up on the table when I eat and watch a lot of OTT shows—pretty much everything.”
V also spoke about attending fellow members Jin and J-Hope’s concerts. “I cried at Hobi-hyung’s concert—just a little by myself. There was a part where I sang together with Jungkook, and I got choked up, but I didn’t say anything because I was embarrassed,” he confessed, earning empathy from fans.
