JYP Entertainment (JYP) and its tech business subsidiary Blue Garage are creating an unprecedented AI artist, aiming to combine entertainment and technology to push K-pop’s global expansion to a new level.
The AI artist developed by JYP and Blue Garage seeks to answer the question: “Can AI call fans by name and engage with them?” Its goal is to redefine the relationship between fans and AI. Against the backdrop of a global trend where interaction with virtual entities is rapidly expanding, especially among Gen Z and Alpha generations, the project aims to introduce a next-generation artist that merges K-pop and K-culture identity with cutting-edge technology. Co-CEO of Blue Garage, Jung Minjong, stated, “This is the first attempt to reinvent the essence of entertainment through AI. By combining JYP’s unparalleled creative and fan capabilities with AI innovation, we aim to present a new future for global K-content.”
To achieve this, Blue Garage is recruiting experts across three key areas: Creative & Fan, Character, and Product & Engineering. Positions include roles in scenario writing, music, marketing, 3D modeling, UX design, LLM development, and 17 other positions covering all aspects from planning to production and technological implementation.
