BTS member Jin has added another 500-million-streaming song to his record on Spotify.
According to the world’s largest music streaming platform, Spotify, Jin’s title track Don’t Say You Love Me from his second solo album Echo—released in May—has surpassed 500 million cumulative streams (as of the September 26 chart). With this, Jin now holds two songs with over 500 million streams as a soloist, following his single The Astronaut. Don’t Say You Love Me continues to enjoy immense global popularity, rising two spots from the previous week to claim No. 4 on Spotify’s latest “Weekly Top Songs Global” chart (tracking period: September 19–25).
On Billboard’s latest charts dated September 27, the track ranked No. 29 on “Global Excl. U.S.” and No. 51 on the “Global 200,” marking its 18th consecutive week on the chart.
Upon its release, the song debuted at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Jin’s third solo entry on the main singles chart. The album Echo, which includes the track, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, setting a new career-high ranking for Jin.
Don’t Say You Love Me portrays the irony of two lovers unable to let go despite a collapsing relationship. With its restrained composition, cool-toned melody, and Jin’s calm yet delicate vocals, the song resonates with listeners on a deeper level.
