BLACKPINK has once again proven their status as world-class artists, setting a new personal record on the U.S. Billboard main chart.
According to YG Entertainment on the 29th, BLACKPINK’s track “JUMP” ranked No. 95 on the Billboard Hot 100 (chart dated September 27). Despite being released more than two months ago on July 11, the song has impressively stayed on the chart for 10 consecutive weeks, marking a long-running success.
Upon release, “JUMP” debuted at No. 28 on the Hot 100, becoming BLACKPINK’s 10th song to chart and setting a new record for the most Billboard Hot 100 entries by a K-pop female artist. The group has since surpassed their own previous best, overtaking “Ice Cream,” which remained on the chart for eight weeks.
U.S. business outlet Forbes praised the group, writing, “BLACKPINK is already one of the most successful K-pop acts in American history, and with every new release, they continue to make history and break down barriers.” In addition to the Hot 100, the song has also remained on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. for 10 weeks.
“JUMP” is also making waves on other global charts. In the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart—considered one of the two biggest global charts alongside Billboard—the song debuted at No. 18, BLACKPINK’s highest ranking for any release, and has remained charted for nine consecutive weeks. On Spotify’s Global Weekly Chart, it has maintained its position for 11 weeks.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is in the midst of their “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR,” which kicked off in July with the first-ever K-pop girl group concert at Goyang Stadium. The tour spans 33 shows across 16 cities. After wrapping up successful performances in North America and Europe, the group will head to Asia in October with stops in Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
