“‘SPAGHETTI’, a Work That Embodies LE SSERAFIM’s Philosophy”… Garnering Global Media Attention
Girl group LE SSERAFIM’s first single album “SPAGHETTI” has swept global charts and is now drawing attention from major international media outlets.
On October 24, LE SSERAFIM (Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae) released their first single album “SPAGHETTI.” The title track of the same name entered both of the world’s leading pop charts — ranking 46th on the UK Official Singles Top 100 and 50th on Billboard’s Hot 100, marking a career high for the group.
Foreign media have been spotlighting LE SSERAFIM’s rise. PAPER Magazine, a U.S. fashion outlet, praised the album, saying,
“With their first single album, LE SSERAFIM showcases intensity, playfulness, and self-assurance. The lively percussion, bright melody, and the balance between strength and delicacy come together to create a spicy song.”
The magazine added,
“They understand that music is a form of performance art and that each promotion should have its own unique flavor. ‘SPAGHETTI’ is a work that embodies that philosophy.”
Billboard and Teen Vogue described the release as
“A delicious collaboration between LE SSERAFIM, who are on a fiery streak, and BTS’s j-hope,”
and
“LE SSERAFIM’s most humorous and playful album yet.”
Meanwhile, GRAMMY.com selected “SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS)” as one of its “Songs of the Week” alongside tracks by Selena Gomez and Megan Thee Stallion.
Billboard Philippines also highlighted the group’s boldness, writing,
“‘SPAGHETTI’ showcases LE SSERAFIM’s new challenge. The members expressed their daring spirit through the ‘taste’ concept, filling it with wit and confidence. They’ve evolved into a group that can masterfully handle even quirky subjects like ‘spaghetti.’”
The outlet added,
“This song instantly draws listeners in, wrapping around them like spaghetti — the very ‘tasty addiction’ LE SSERAFIM intended.”
Meanwhile, “SPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS)” has been streamed over 2 million times daily on Spotify since its release through November 4. In particular, it continues to stay strong in the Top 10 of Spotify Korea’s Daily Top Songs chart, ranking No. 6 on November 4.
