Lim Kim Becomes the Voice of Dear X — OST Released Today (Nov 6)
Singer Lim Kim (Kim Yerim) has been selected as the first vocalist for the OST of the drama Dear X.
At 6 p.m. on November 6, Dear X OST Part.1, titled “Run & Run”, will be released. The TVING original series Dear X follows Baek A-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), a woman who wears a mask to escape from hell and reach the top, and the cruelly trampled “X” figures in her wake. The series is co-directed by Lee Eung-bok, known for Mr. Sunshine and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, and Park So-hyun, praised for her delicate directing style.
As Baek A-jin’s chilling true nature begins to surface behind her beautiful façade, viewers are bracing for both shock and thrill. Signaling the start of this “fatal melodrama suspense,” the OST “Run & Run” by Lim Kim captures that intensity.
The track blends a heavy bassline with Lim Kim’s dreamy and mysterious vocals, creating an immersive atmosphere. It heightens the tension characteristic of the suspense genre while vividly emphasizing A-jin’s alluring yet dangerous persona.
Lim Kim, known for her unique musical identity through works like “SAL-KI” and “Gung”, has also showcased both artistry and mainstream appeal through her participation in hit drama OSTs such as A Time Called You and King the Land.
Meanwhile, Run & Run was crafted by composer Gaemi, the veteran music director behind acclaimed OSTs for Boys Over Flowers, When the Camellia Blooms, Sweet Home, Welcome to Samdalri, and The World of the Married, in collaboration with composer Soogyeong, recognized for her sophisticated musicality in Seocho-dong and Good Partner. The result is a high-quality soundtrack that perfectly complements the drama’s intensity.
