BTS member V’s “Winter Ahead” has surpassed 530 million streams on Spotify, continuing to prove its widespread popularity.
The track, “Winter Ahead (with Park Hyoshin),” a collaboration between V and Park Hyoshin, reached 530 million streams on the world’s largest music platform on November 20. V now has four solo tracks that have surpassed 500 million streams: “Love Me Again,” “Slow Dancing,” “FRI(END)S,” and “Winter Ahead.” Released on November 29, 2024 while V was serving in the military and without any promotions, the song entered the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, debuted at No. 1 on the Holiday Digital Song Sales chart, and No. 62 on the Holiday Top 100 chart.
V is the first and only K-pop artist to chart three songs — “Christmas Tree,” “White Christmas,” and “Winter Ahead” — on the Holiday Top 100. He also set a record by ranking No. 1 with all three songs on the Holiday Digital Song Sales chart, earning him the affectionate nickname “Winter Boy.”
“Winter Ahead” also entered the UK Official Singles Chart, one of the two major global pop charts alongside Billboard, and debuted at No. 1 on the Singles Downloads Chart and No. 2 on the Singles Sales Chart, showcasing V’s immense music power on a global scale.
