BTS member Jungkook has once again demonstrated his immense global influence, making new history with Rolling Stone.
Jungkook has been selected as the global cover star for Rolling Stone, the leading U.S. pop culture magazine. He will appear on the covers of Rolling Stone Korea, UK, Japan, France, India, Brazil, the Philippines, and China as part of a special joint global feature project. Rolling Stone Korea, UK, and Japan will release print issues, while the editions in France, India, Brazil, the Philippines, and China will be issued digitally. The editions will also include a joint interview conducted collaboratively by the eight participating Rolling Stone teams.
According to Rolling Stone Japan, Jungkook has proven himself to be a “global hot icon,” serving as the first-ever cover star for a historic project jointly produced by three national editions—Korea, the UK, and Japan.
Jungkook has also become the first K-pop solo artist to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone UK. As the first collaboration project of its kind presented by the UK edition—considered the birthplace of pop music—this achievement underscores the dazzling stature of “solo artist Jungkook” and “global super pop star Jungkook.”
Notably, previous solo artists who have graced Rolling Stone covers include global icons such as Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars, and The Weeknd—figures who have left an indelible mark not only on mainstream popularity but also on the global music industry.
In the newly released cover images, Jungkook captivates viewers with his unique, stylish aura, flawlessly pulling off an oversized suit set paired with Calvin Klein-logo underwear.
Previously, Jungkook made history as the first Korean male singer to be included in Rolling Stone’s “200 Greatest Singers of All Time.” His debut solo album GOLDEN was also named one of Rolling Stone’s “Best Music of 2023: Staff Picks.”
