OK Records, founded by former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin, has begun holding private auditions.
According to multiple dance studios on the 3rd, OK Records — the new label recently established by Min Hee-jin — is conducting undisclosed, in-person auditions. The auditions are taking place at various dance studios in Seoul, Busan, and other regions. Applicants born between 2006 and 2011, regardless of nationality or gender, are eligible to apply.
The audition categories include vocal, dance, and rap, and are open to dance studio trainees, academy students, and external applicants. The auditions are expected to begin as early as this week.
Min Hee-jin reportedly completed corporate registration for OK Records in October, after founding the company as an internal director. OK Records lists celebrity management, music and album production and distribution, and concert and event planning among its business areas, with Min Hee-jin registered as a board director. Min was dismissed from her position as CEO of HYBE subsidiary ADOR in August last year and subsequently resigned from the board, officially leaving the company. Around a year later, she has launched a new label and is now moving to produce a new idol group.
Meanwhile, NewJeans — the group produced by Min — had announced their return to ADOR amid their exclusive contract dispute with the agency. Members Haerin and Hyein confirmed their return through ADOR, while Minji, Hanni, and Danielle conveyed their intention to return through their legal representatives.
Regarding this, ADOR stated that it is “confirming their true intentions.” Recently, it was reported that the agency held individual meetings with the three members.
