Fromis_9’s remake digital single “White Longing” (literal translation of Hayan Geuriwoom), released on the 2nd, ranked No. 8 on the Melon Top 100 chart as of 9 a.m. on the 24th. The song debuted at No. 67 on the Melon Top 100 upon its release and has continued a steady upward climb, rising to No. 24 as of the 10th and No. 14 as of the 15th. Riding strong word of mouth, “White Longing” has now entered the Top 10, marking a notable achievement.
With “White Longing,” fromis_9 remade the 2001 song of the same title by Kim Min-jong, evoking nostalgia among listeners from the ’80s and ’90s generations, while adding the group’s own distinctive color to the original’s emotional tone, resonating with audiences across generations.
Alongside the song’s success, fromis_9 has remained highly active, appearing on various YouTube channels including their own content series “SPF: Studio fromis_9,” as well as “Workman” and “Jipdaeseong.” Their recent cover performance of “Short Hair” at the 2025 KBS Song Festival Global Festival also drew strong reactions, further boosting interest in “White Longing.”
In particular, fans are closely watching to see whether fromis_9 can surpass their previous career high of No. 5 on the Melon Top 100, set by their 2024 single “Supersonic.”
Fromis_9 will hold their world tour encore concert “Now Tomorrow.” on January 31, 2026 at 6 p.m. and February 1, 2026 at 4 p.m. at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium (Tiger Dome) in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
