Broadcaster Lee Hwi-jae will appear on entertainment shows after a four-year hiatus.

On the 21st, KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs' announced a trailer for the broadcast on the 28th of next week.

The trailer is said to feature Song Il-guk, Oh Man-seok, Hong Seok-cheon, Park Sung-kwang, Kim Shin-young and Lalal in the broadcast, which was held as the "2026 Entertainment World King's Fair."

After the subtitle "And" came out, Lee Hwi-jae was shown on stage. He appeared on stage in a suit and looking very nervous.

Standing in front of the camera for the first time in four years, Lee Hwi-jae said, "Yes, let's say hello. Nice to meet you. I'm Lee Hwi-jae," he said.

At the same time, he appeared on stage with tears in his eyes and holding back his tears.

Lee Hwi-jae participated in the recording of the KBS 2TV entertainment program "Immortal Songs" at KBS New Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 16th. Lee Hwi-jae's appearance on the show came about four years after he left the KBS 2TV entertainment information program "Yeonjung Live" in April 2022.

At one point, Lee Hwi-jae was a top MC. However, he was embroiled in controversy over the noise conflict between neighbors and the suspicion of "eat and run" for toys at the amusement park surrounding his wife Moon Jung-won. The method of progress shown at past entertainment shows and award ceremonies was also on the cutting board.

Since then, he has suspended his activities after "Live Throughout the Year" in 2022, and it has been reported that he left for Canada with his family, raising rumors of retirement. It is said that Lee Hwi-jae has been living in and out of Korea and Canada.

Lee Hwi-jae married florist Moon Jung-won in 2010 and has twin sons. These families became famous by appearing on KBS 2TV entertainment show 'Superman is Back'.
