Comedian Kim Jeong-ryeol brought up Hwang Ki-soon's past gambling incident.

On the afternoon of the 8th, MBN's "Kim Ju-ha's Day & Night" featured comedians Kim Jeong-ryeol and Hwang Ki-soon as guests.

That day, Kim Jeong-ryeol recalled the funeral of the late Jeon Yu-seong, stating, "The funeral was being conducted seriously. Someone asked me to show them 'Sunggu-ridangdang' on my way there. Isn't it unreasonable to do something like that in such an atmosphere?"

He continued, "So as I left, I thought: isn't life about 'birth, aging, illness, and death'? We don't celebrate birth with joy? So why should we be so sad when someone passes away? That's why I danced. There were people crying and people laughing."

He then spoke about his own funeral. He said, "If I die, since I'm older than Hwang Ki-soon, won't I go first? This person has many regrets; when they gather, don't they play cards or hwaru?" Adding, "I hope he acts as the main dealer. I want him to recover from his past failures and rise again. I wish he breaks even at my funeral," eliciting laughter.

Meanwhile, Hwang Ki-soon became controversial in 1997 over an overseas gambling incident. At the time, he lost all his assets and lived in hiding in the Philippines before returning to Korea and rebuilding his life.
