KBS 2TV's '2 Days & 1 Night' will take a week off.

The production team of '2 Days & 1 Night' announced via its official channel on the 21st: "Hello. This is the production team of KBS <2 Days & 1 Night>. The Geoje episode, scheduled to air on August 23 (Sun), titled 'Finding Treasures in Geoje?! Part 2', will be replaced with a special broadcast. We ask for your understanding."

Since the episode aired on the 16th, the members of '2 Days & 1 Night' have been enjoying their trip to Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do. Although Geoje Part 2 was scheduled to air on the 23rd, a sudden cancellation has been announced. While no specific reason was given, it is interpreted as being due to the heavy rain damage that recently struck Geoje.

Extreme rainfall hit the southern region of Gyeongsangnam-do during the Liberation Day holiday break, causing significant damage to Geoje City. The provisional damage amount is approximately 27 billion won. A total of 1,078 facilities were affected, including 132 public facilities such as roads, rivers, and water supply systems, and 946 private facilities such as homes, commercial buildings, and farmland.

President Lee Jae-myung declared Geoje City and the San-yang-eup and Bong-pyeong-dong areas of Tongyeong City in Gyeongsangnam-do, which recently suffered severe damage from an unusual heavy rainstorm in the southern region, as special disaster zones on the 21st.
