The group NCT WISH will appear as the sixth player in Mnet Plus original series ‘Hide and Seek 2.’

‘Hide and Seek 2’ is a horror variety show in which participants play a survival game for 4,444 seconds while evading an unidentified seeker. The program has continued its box office success by recording the top contribution to new subscriptions among Mnet Plus content during the same period. With cumulative views of related content surpassing 90 million across Mnet Plus and other platforms, it is establishing itself as a Lee Eo-ji-myeo (CEO) original horror IP, with viewership and subscriptions coming from diverse regions including Indonesia, Vietnam, the Chinese-speaking world, and the United States.

Amid this box office momentum, NCT WISH will be the star of the sixth episode, released at 6 p.m. on the 16th. During their appearance in Season 1, Mnet Plus DAU (Daily Active Users) surged by approximately 1,200% compared to the previous day immediately after the main episode was released, and related keywords ranked 1st to 3rd in real-time trends, driving intense buzz. By employing various survival strategies—such as hiding from the seeker or moving boldly—they endured for 4,444 seconds, ultimately achieving a 50% survival rate and completing a tense ending that drew reactions calling it a ‘legendary episode.’

This time, NCT WISH will enter a chilling hospital ghost story where fate is reversed by a single moment’s choice. The previously released poster featured ominous messages behind the members, such as “Fate was reversed on that night” and “I am looking for you,” heightening curiosity about the story to be unfolded in this episode. In the preview video, the members briefly displayed the composure of ‘veterans’ while surveying the scene, saying, “Wow, it’s really been a long time.” However, the atmosphere shifted dramatically after hearing the ghost story told by storyteller Lee Jung-hyun. In particular, the chilling warning to “be careful of your ankles” heightened the members’ tension. As Sion vowed that they must “stay alert,” attention is focused on whether NCT WISH will be able to safely escape within the time limit by finding ‘Dead Peace’ while evading the seeker’s pursuit.

Meanwhile, ‘Hide and Seek 2’ is expanding its appeal as a seasonal IP by adding city ghost story settings and storytellers for each episode to the hide-and-seek survival structure of Season 1. Season 1 was also nominated in the Cross Platform category at the international television awards ceremony, the Venice TV Award.

The sixth episode of Mnet Plus original series ‘Hide and Seek 2,’ featuring NCT WISH, will be released on Mnet Plus at 6 p.m. on the 16th, and will also air on Mnet at 11 p.m. on the 17th.
