Hollywood actor Sean Penn won his third Oscar trophy but missed the ceremony.

The 98th Academy Awards ceremony was held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, LA, at 7 p.m. on the 15th (local time).

At the ceremony, actor Sean Penn received the Best Supporting Actor Award for "One Bat After Another." He won his first Oscar for best actor in 2004 for "Mystic River," a movie directed by Clint East Wood, and later won his second Oscar for "Milk," a 2009 film about Harvey Milk's life. Through this film, he was honored with his first Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and his third Oscar, but he missed the ceremony, drawing attention to the background.

At the Academy Awards, meanwhile, attention is being paid to the competition between the two works, "Sinners: Sinners," which broke the previous record (14 nominations) set by "Eve's Everything" and "Titanic," and "One Battle After Another," which was nominated in 13 categories.
