BTS's V's solo track 'FRI(END)S' has surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify, proving its global popularity.

Released as a digital single on March 15, 2024, 'FRI(END)S' recently recorded 600 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform. V's solo tracks that have recorded over 600 million streams are 'Love Me Again', 'Winter Ahead', and 'FRI(END)S' — three songs in total.

'FRI(END)S' is a pop soul R&B track featuring a sweet melody and witty lyrics. V showcased a variety of vocal tones by freely moving between his deep voice and falsetto.

The song debuted at No. 65 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart without a physical album, amid a complete lack of activities due to V's military service. It also reached No. 3 on Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) and No. 5 on the Global 200. On the UK Official Singles Chart, it entered at No. 13 and remained on the chart for two consecutive weeks. On the UK's largest chart, the Official Big Top 40, it debuted at No. 3 after two days of tracking.

'FRI(END)S' topped the Worldwide iTunes and European iTunes charts. Among songs released in 2024, it was the first globally to reach No. 1 on the iTunes charts in 100 countries. Amazon Music and Apple Music selected 'FRI(END)S' as 'Best K-Pop of 2024'.

In the music video filmed in the UK, V portrayed contrasting characters — one when alone and another when with a lover. After its release, the music video held the No. 1 spot in the YouTube World Trending Music category for 14 consecutive days. Additionally, it became the first K-pop artist to reach No. 1 on the U.S. Tidal Top Video chart.

'FRI(END)S' was selected as the background music for Season 3 of the popular U.S. drama series 'The Summer I Turned Pretty'.
