Korean traditional crossover singer Kim San-ha will release her first digital single, 'Please Hug Me,' six years after her debut.

According to her agency, MY Music, on the 20th, Kim San-ha is set to unveil her first digital single, 'Please Hug Me,' via various music platforms at 6 p.m. on the 25th.

'Please Hug Me' is a ballad trot song that captures the emotions of parting where one wants to hold on but cannot, and must let go but ultimately cannot. Kim San-ha's voice, known for its deep resonance, begins with restrained emotion and gradually intensifies toward the latter half, delicately expressing an emotional arc that promises to offer listeners profound empathy and lingering impressions.

Having made her presence felt by reaching the Top 10 of the TV Chosun competition program 'Mistrot 4,' which concluded in March, Kim San-ha is a Korean traditional crossover singer who majored in Pansori at the National Traditional Arts High School and Ewha Womans University's Department of Korean Music.

She has been recognized since childhood for her solid fundamentals and exceptional musicality, winning awards such as the Choi U (수상) in the Pansori category at the 1st Sejong Gyunhwajieum Korean Traditional Music Competition and the Choi U (수상) in the Pansori category at the 7th Jangwoljungseon Myeongchang Competition.

After gaining public recognition by winning the Top 10 Trot Singer King and King of Kings titles on MBC's 'Pyenae Junggye' in 2020, he has gone through various stages through multiple competition programs including KBS 2TV's 'Trot National Sports Festival,' MBN's 'Active Singer King 1,' and TV Chosun's 'Mistrot 4,' growing into an artist who combines the deep sensibility of Korean traditional music with the popularity of trot.

A representative from MY Music stated, "Following the release of the digital single, we plan to meet fans in various ways not only through broadcast activities but also by performing a newly arranged Korean traditional version of 'Please Hug Me' and busking performances with a Korean traditional band."
