Rapper Hwang Ji-sang, born in 2004, channeled his anxiety and concerns into music.

Hwang is set to release his first full-length album, '#800080', at 6 p.m. on the 11th through various online music streaming platforms. This album marks Hwang's first full-length project completed entirely by his own efforts.

The album title '#800080' is derived from a color code representing purple. Purple, created by combining red and blue in equal proportions, symbolizes the anxiety residing within Hwang and the mask he wears to conceal it. Through the hue of purple, born at the intersection of contrasting emotions and appearances, the album expresses the identity of the artist known as Hwang Ji-sang.

In this album, Hwang delves into his inner self and musical struggles. He is expected to candidly share stories ranging from the period during which he grappled with his position among other rappers amid public gaze and expectations, to questions about the musical direction and identity he pursues.

These messages can also be glimpsed in the first teaser video recently released. In the video, titled "A Truly Washed-Up Rapper," Hwang begins his narrative with a self-deprecating confession: "I am a truly washed-up rapper."

In the video, Hwang candidly opens up about his past, when he gained attention through his appearance on Mnet's 'Show Me The Money 10,' the reality he faced afterward, and the concerns he felt while comparing himself to other rappers. The image of a rapper who once basked in the spotlight describing himself as a "washed-up rapper" evokes empathy by revealing the realistic struggles hidden behind the glamorous stage.

Hwang Ji-sang's debut full-length album, '#800080', will be released at 6 p.m. on the 11th through various online music streaming platforms.
