Hong Hyun-suk (27), who returned to the Belgian stage, scored a goal in three games after Hent's loan transfer.

Hent drew 1-1 in the 23rd round of the "2025-2026 Belgian Professional Football Jupil Professional League" against RAAL La Rubiere at Easy Arena in La Rubiere, Belgium on the 31st (Korea time).

Hent, who continued his three-game unbeaten streak (2 wins, 1 draw), ranked fifth in the league with 33 points (9 wins, 6 draws, 8 losses).

On this day, Hong Hyun-seok started as a right-side striker in the 4-2-3-1 formation. Hong Hyun-seok, who actively worked in the midfield and the offensive side, scored the first goal in the 11th minute of the second half. In the 11th minute of the second half, Thiago Arauju shook the net with a header from a cross.

Hong Hyun-seok, who recently wore a Hent uniform, scored his first goal in three games on loan. In addition, it was the first score in about a year and a half (555 days) since the match against Vicingur Goeta (2 goals) on July 25, 2024. Hong Hyun-seok, who has suffered without scoring in Mainz and Nantes, recovered his scoring instincts as soon as he wore the Hent uniform, which he is most familiar with.

Later, Hong Hyun-seok was replaced by Momodu Songko in the 26th minute of the second half. Hent failed to keep Hong Hyun-seok's first goal and allowed Nolan Zilo to equalize in the 36th minute of the second half. The match ended in a disappointing 1-1 draw.

Hong Hyun-seok moved to Hent in August 2022 and played as a key midfielder for two seasons. Based on his performance at Hent, he moved to Mainz, the German Bundesliga, where Lee Jae-sung, a senior member of the national team, plays in August 2024.

However, he failed to get a chance to play and was loaned to Ligue 1 club in France ahead of this season. The ordeal also continued in Nantes. After playing only six games this season, he returned to Hent, who showed his best form through the winter transfer market. He played in 104 games and scored 18 goals and 20 assists in two seasons from 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 at Hent.
