Actor Lee Si-eon (44) expressed his regret over South Korea's failure to advance to the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North, Central America, and the Caribbean.

On the 29th, Lee Si-eon posted a photo on his Instagram story.

The photo featured the harmonious image of the three-family members: Lee, his wife Seo Ji-seung, who is six years his junior, and their son Sol-min, born last month. In particular, the family added warmth by wearing matching South Korean national football team jerseys as a group. Above the cute Sol-min lying down, a jersey larger than his body was draped over him, bringing smiles to onlookers.

However, Sol-min's first World Cup support was canceled, evoking sadness. The South Korean national team recently suffered a painful defeat against South Africa, confirming their elimination from the group stage of the North, Central American, and Caribbean World Cup. Amidst the regretful result of failing to reach the Round of 32, head coach Hong Myung-bo had already declared his voluntary resignation.

In response, Lee Si-eon commemorated "Sol-min's first World Cup" while revealing his bitterness with the words, "I thought we'd do it one more time... See you again in four years."

Lee Si-eon and Seo Ji-seung got married in 2021 and welcomed their first son in May.
