Broadcaster Lee Kyung-gyu has been diagnosed with cataracts.

On the 16th, a video titled "The Truth and Treatment of Malignant Cataracts That Affect Not Only Humans But Also Dogs" was posted on the YouTube channel 'God Lee Kyung-gyu'.

In the released video, scenes of Lee Kyung-gyu visiting an ophthalmology clinic were shown.

Lee Kyung-gyu said, "As I've gotten older, my vision has become blurry. So I need to get checked. I should be seeing things well these days, but my eyes shouldn't be failing." He then proceeded with the examination.

After undergoing various tests, the doctor explained, "There are some slight abnormalities in your eyes. There are small white spots. We call this cortical opacity. You have a mild case of cataracts. It is not extremely severe. You may feel that you can see less than before. While surgery is not urgently needed at this stage, ultimately, surgery will be necessary someday."

The doctor added, "In the case of cataracts, although it is not severe, exposure to outdoor ultraviolet rays is a stimulating factor for cataracts."

Upon hearing this, Lee Kyung-gyu expressed concern, saying, "While filming 'City Fisherman,' I spent seven years on the sea, and both my skin and eyes have been severely damaged."

The doctor diagnosed him, summarizing that he has "cataracts appropriate for his age, drooping conjunctiva laxity (white patches), and dry eye syndrome."

As Lee Kyung-gyu left the examination room, he said wryly, "Ultimately, while filming 'City Fisherman' and spending seven years on the sea, I need to file a lawsuit against 'City Fisherman.' I should demand that they return my eyesight."
