Jin Jae-young, who resides in Jeju, expressed unease over a series of recent missing person cases.

On the 25th, Jin posted a photo on her social media showing the night scenery of Jeju.

Along with the photo, she wrote, "I don't usually go out at night, but these days, news from Jeju Island makes me even afraid to take walks."

Jin married professional golfer Jin Jung-sik, who is four years her junior, in April 2010. Since then, she has settled in Jeju in 2017 and shares her peaceful daily life on social media.

Jin's remarks appear to be related to numerous missing person cases that have recently occurred in Jeju.

In particular, Jang Mi-ran, who went missing last May, was found dead near a long-term accommodation in Hallim-eup, Jeju City, on the 24th of this month, approximately three months after her disappearance. Additionally, it is reported that four missing persons were found deceased in Jeju within just three days, causing shock.

Furthermore, concern over local public safety has grown after a police officer handling Jang Mi-ran's case was arrested on charges of falsely closing the case without conducting proper investigations or verification procedures despite accepting a formal complaint.
