Former baseball player Hwang Jae-gyun has embarked on a new challenge as a YouTuber following his retirement.

On the 25th, Hwang posted on his social media: "Now that I've retired, there's even more work to do. I've opened my YouTube channel today," announcing the launch of his YouTube channel.

He added, "I will approach this with humility and at a lower posture than anyone else," conveying his determination for this new beginning as a YouTuber.

On that day, the first video titled "Hwang Jae-gyun Former YouTuber" was released on the newly launched YouTube channel 'Ilu-hwang'.

In the video, Hwang shared his thoughts on officially starting his YouTube activities and showcased his characteristic cheerful wit. He said, "I just hope to film while having fun and that it turns out well," adding, "I might grumble when the PD gives me instructions, but I'll do everything for the sake of YouTube."

Hwang Jae-gyun, who spent a long time on the professional baseball stage during his active career, is expanding his activities into broadcasting and content production even after retirement. He also expressed his intention to show a different charm from what he displayed at the baseball field through YouTube. As a result, Hwang is expected to communicate more closely with fans.

Meanwhile, Hwang Jae-gyun married T-ARA member and actress Ji-yeon in December 2022 but divorced in 2024. After retiring from his professional baseball career in December last year, he transitioned into a broadcasting personality.
